Dirty Mimosa Bx2 is a backcross from Dirty Bird Genetics, built by crossing their Dirty Mimosa ‘White Cap Cut’ back to a Mimosa parent. The result is a sativa-dominant hybrid with low phenotypic variation, compact structure, and a flowering window short enough to keep it competitive with much faster strains. It placed fifth in the 2025 NASC Grower’s Choice Awards for Photoperiod Strain of the Year, which is unusually strong third-party validation for a backcross line.

One thing to note up front: these are regular (M/F) seeds, not feminized. If you’re not set up to sex plants or you only want photoperiod females, check the seed type before ordering.

Grow notes

Dirty Mimosa’s defining grow trait is how compact she stays. Dirty Bird describes the plant as “compact, does not stretch much in flower, bushy spears,” and home reports line up with that — growers working in small tents or single-light setups consistently mention that she holds her shape without training. That makes her one of the better fast photoperiods for a 2×2 or single-plant grow.

Flowering runs 49–56 days on most phenos, though some sources report closer to 50–60. In the final two weeks she fades through red and purple tones as temperatures drop, and the buds come out exceptionally sugary with loud terpenes.

Because this is a Bx2, expression is more stable than an F1 or S1 line, but not as uniform as a feminized S1. Expect minor phenotype variation but nothing dramatic.

The terpene profile is built around limonene and caryophyllene, with myrcene, humulene, and pinene in support. The nose is sour green apple and candy with a heavy gas undertone — the kind of loud, specific profile that makes a plant memorable in a lineup. Dirty Bird describes it as “extremely potent and uplifting,” and growers back that up: the high is energetic without crossing into paranoid territory, which is a common failure mode of strong sativas.

Dream Queen is one of Humboldt Seed Company’s flagship production strains and one of the fastest photoperiods in their catalog. A cross of Green Crack, Mazar Star, and Skunk #1, she combines the energetic sativa profile of Green Crack with the structural stability and bulk of Mazar and Skunk. The result is a plant that finishes in 45 days or less indoors while still producing yields that commercial and outdoor growers regularly describe as massive.

Humboldt rates her THC ceiling at around 23%, which is high for a strain that finishes this quickly. Most fast-flowering photoperiods sit closer to 16–19%.

Grow notes

Dream Queen is vigorous. Growers routinely report that she doubles in size during flower, which means indoor cultivators need to account for stretch when deciding veg length. A shorter veg — two to three weeks — is usually enough, especially in a tent. Left un-topped she grows into a classic Christmas-tree structure with a dominant central cola; topped, she fills out a flat canopy that plays well with SCROG.

Sour Lime Haze is one of the fastest haze-leaning hybrids on the market. Built by Dirty Bird Genetics from MMXX and Elmo’s Army — the latter being a Moose and Lobstah × Super Silver Haze cross — she inherits the old-school haze terp profile but compresses the flowering window from the traditional 10–12 weeks down to 49–56 days. That alone makes her unusual. Add very high yields and a medium-height structure suitable for limited space, and she becomes one of the most practical haze-leaning strains for home growers.

Grow notes

Sour Lime Haze stays medium height with dense plant structure, which makes her a much better fit for tight tents than most haze hybrids. The catch: buds come in very top-heavy, forming giant, dense, rounded colas that will fold the main cola over without support. Stake or trellis her from week three of flower.

Dirty Bird specifically notes the strain is suitable for growers with limited space, and grow reports back that up — she’s much smaller than you’d expect for a haze and much more manageable than Super Silver Haze herself.
